Thorntons had done incredible things before we got there – incredible fuel transactions (no-one was lower priced), truly strong fountain program that was low priced and a store team committed to growing fountain sales and the number of cups sold. We built on that foundation with stronger marketing, groundbreaking loyalty, and developing foodservice from basic roller grill and packaged commissary to elevated platforms that started with making the core programs best in class and then elevating hot grab and go to make Thorntons a destination for food.
Thorntons Loyalty Plan
Developed Loyalty Program from inception and was one if the first convenience chain to partner with them to build a loyalty platform.
This was an organizational initiative engaging store teams, District / Region managers, and corporate staff. Everyone helped launch the platform and the plan quickly reached over 30% of transactions.
Vendor partners were also fully engaged and were quickly on-board to partner / fund specific offers for loyalty members and participation in events to further drive engagement
